We drove down from Amman and did the afternoon at Wadi Rum. Looked a lot like the op photo. Got to Petra that evening. When we learned the next day was expected to be the hottest day of the year, we arranged to be at the ticket booth at 6am opening time.

It was amazing.

During our time there, we took in about 2-2.5L of water each and by the time we left at noon, we were still struggling. I could only imagine the effect of the folks just coming in at noon.

Spent the rest of the day at the hotel pool before heading back to Amman.

I would go back in a heartbeat.

So this post just increases my cabin fever. Lol.
