To all those that use TCF Bank: did you know about the new $10/mo fee they will charge you?

You are now required to use your checking account at least 15 times per month or be penalized with a $10 "account maintenance fee"! And that simply making a cash withdrawal doesn't count! I just found this out after arguing with customer service at TCF, and they won't budge on the issue. I don't use my check card or write checks; I use my credit cards to get cash back bonuses and pay them off in full at the end of every month from my TCF checking account. Between those 3, my mortgage, and my car payment, I only use my checking account 5 times per month. I told them I'm going to find a new bank, so they can kiss my ass.

Everytime around these parts I hear or read about a bank robbery, 95% of the time it's TCF and of those, a ton seem to be one of their employees or an employee's friends.
