anyone else STILL waiting for refund after filing paper?

Hi.

I mailed my paper return on July 6, and the "Where's My Refund" system still shows nothing, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a human on the phone just to ask if they've even received it!

Has anyone here filed paper, with an Earned Income Credit, and received their refund? How long did it take? Mine's been over 8 weeks, and I can't get any answers.

1. I filed back in April on paper

Finally got my refund August 13. They're probably still working through the backlog. There wasn't much delay between seeing that my return had been processed into the system and having my refund deposited though.

It would be nice if they put up some info as to what date they're up to working through the backlog though.

Once it showed up there, it was only a few days until the refund was deposited.

and did you have EIC or child tax credit? I only ask because I know those two can slow down a refund.

The ‘stimulus’ check took quite a while. I’m certain the delays are meant to instill uncertainty for some, desperation and panic for others.

and just this past Tuesday the "Where's My Refund" link finally shows that my return has been received. That was 10 weeks. We'll see how long it takes to process, and then to pay.

13. It's been two weeks now that the system

shows “received”... but hasn’t moved to “processed” yet. 12 weeks total so far.

I’m beyond livid—burning with contempt for the greedy architects of the Failed State.
Sowing uncertainty, confusion, and chaos is all they know.

To boot, I may have caught it. Difficult breathing, sore throat, exhaustion. Got tested yesterday and must wait until Friday for results.

15. Early March, on paper. Still nothing.

Where’s my refund is useless. I’ve called three times now waiting a month between. The person I spoke with last week said they really have not done anything with returns until they started hiring late August-September. He said call back end of October if still don’t have it.🤬

19. That looks familiar, I think I did, and

got run around in a circle until the system ended the call, never found a way to get a human. I haven’t tried though, since the website shows my return received.
