Stevie Nicks has revealed she’s spending her time in lockdown working on a movie inspired by Fleetwood Mac‘s seminal 1975 hit ‘Rhiannon.’

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the singer revealed that working on the movie had already been her priority after the band finished touring last year.

“Last year, I made a pitch to everybody that when this Fleetwood Mac tour is over, I’m taking next year off because I want to work on my Rhiannon book/movie,” she said, with the film said to be based on the classic Welsh myths that inspired the original song.

“And I want to maybe work with some different producers… I don’t know what I want to do! I just know that I don’t want a tour!”

Boy did that take me back in time. I enjoyed watching the video, noting how young they are in it.

I've always been a big fan of Stevie Nicks, I saw her in concert later in her solo career, but would have loved to have seen Fleetwood Mac, but I lived in Hawaii there and they didn't come then while I was of concert going age. Oh well. I look forward to seeing a movie about Rhiannon the Welsh Witch!

Eddy Money opened for Fleetwoood Mac at an outdoor concert at the U of ND fieldhouse.

It was one of the most memorable concerts of my 20's. (& there were A LOT of them in a span of about just 5 years).

Nicks was indeed magical & Rhiannon remains one of my most played & replayed songs still today.

If I could relive any time in my life, it would be the 70's.

What a time to be a 20 yr old!

Born in 61, so I would have been a teen, I just wasn't into concerts just then. I bet they did go to Hawaii, everyone wanted to tour there (and get a little vacation to boot)

Best times of my life!

4. Yes, it really was! I can imagine that Hawaii would be the coolest destination for the bands.

...it's her marvelous demonstration that cocaine is bad for you.

Sorry...it's a joke I used to tell way back...well..in those times.

6. 😄 As unavoidable the drugs were at that time for us regular people, I can't imagine what it must.

7. Well, it was possible to avoid drugs for regular people. I confess one had to struggle...

...sometimes to do so, back then, but it was possible. I know. I was there.

I always kind of wondered whether the Grateful Dead might have actually played in tune if they weren't always high. Instead of being the worst famous band, they might have been the worst great band.

By the 1970's I'd kind of left Rock n' Roll behind and became an oppressive jazz snob, so what do I really know?

I actually don't miss the 1970's at all. It was the period in which my generation - the baby boomers - began to show their true colors.

My personal life was miserable too, which puts some spin on it, but jazz kept me alive in spite of myself.

I got an ALEXA thingy as a gift a year ago. I keep it in a kitchen drawer under a stack of pot holders.

The only time I use it (honest to god), is when I'm spendinng a day in the kitchen. Then I have a bottle of wine & tell ALEXA to "play Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac".
over & over.....and she does!!

Then she goes back in the potholder drawer till the next time.

Truth.🥂
