I've had them for years on all four of my ceiling fans. They really help in both light and darkness.

If it's the wrong one I pull the other one. Those things are cool, wish I'd had them years ago.

Those little devices are an excellent idea. And you would only really need one of them - the naked chain, by default, would be the other function.
