Also with streaming so cheap and prevalent, people are probably mostly actually buying only stuff that they consider timeless and know they will never get tired of. Plus it's mostly only older people who still buy music.

Everyone likes the Beatles ... But kids don't buy music much if at all anymore. They stream it.

The movie “Yesterday” is really a love song to the Beatles catalogue more than anything

It was similar to a biopic which has the effect of reintroducing music to a whole new audience. I came away from the movie wanting to hear more.

I know it came out it 2019 but people may have caught it in streaming

The license fees on Beatles songs are through the roof.

Funny story. For the last week that Conan O'Brien hosted The Tonight Show, in an act of revenge, he had the band play Beatles songs at every break. That cost NBC a fortune.

As much as I like the Beatles, esp songs like :Eleanor Rigby" I can't help but feel a little uneasy about this.
