I flew to NYC after college to see an exhibit of his work at the Whitney Museum. Wonderful memories.

Hopper is probably my favorite American artist. I have always loved his paintings and I've always been drawn to the stark lonely beauty of his work. Learning the inspiration behind these works is fascinating.

He taught at San Francisco State University, but I never had him as a teacher.
