8. I had to move my VFW membership, and cancel my Legion membership

If you can find a majority AA post in your area it will have way way WAY fewer trumpistas.

That way, you can still participate veteran's assistance drives, or judge the Patriot Pen essay contests or raise money for homeless vet rehabilitation services (that's my post's main local charity. https://www.thejosephcenter.org/)

I served during the Gulf war, although not in the Gulf (former JAG). I cut off ties with some fellow vets years ago. The only vets I talk to are my family members (who hate Trump). Thank goodness, the civilian employees (admin, docs and nurses) I deal with at the VA also hate Trump.
