Now that the veg garden is winding down, time to post a photo of one of my other crops

2. Pears are a great crop. Oregon is pear Nirvana. In fact, I live on Pear St., LOL.

I've got a couple Bartlett and one Asian. For years now I process in the dehydrator. Bartletts are the best IMO, sweet, relatively pest-free, and dependable.

3. Ohhhh, I love fresh pears with a grinding of black pepper.

I don't spray the tree, so I have to cut the pears to avoid any squiggly proteins that might be burrowing. The flavor is always mindblowing.
