1. Steak-umm has been doing positive social media for a while.

I watch/listen to tech podcasts, and one such show spotlighted steak-umms very unique use of social media.

It caused me to remember that about 40 years ago, in Boy Scouts, we would buy steak-umms for our camping trips. I liked them.

And so, a few months ago, prompted by social media, I bought some.

It is intended that they be cooked from the frozen state, as they cook in a minute.

At about the 30 second mark, between the thaw and the cooking, it made a terrible gamey (rotting meat) odor.

Indeed, each individual steak-umm did this when heated in my skillet.

They are so spicey, that the gaminess is not noticed when cooked.

To sum it up, I think these things are frozen rotten meat trimmings and fat blobs. Let the buyer beware.
