Whew! Just excised the largest skin nodule I've ever seen.

I'm pretty sure it's a superficial hemangioma, but we'll see what pathology has to say.

Thing was huge! Looked like a very large marble. It would barely fit into the specimen container.

It was large enough that I thought it had developed its own arterial system. I kept a hemostat clamped to the base of it while I sliced it off, just in case. When I loosened the hemostat, no arterial spurt. Good news.

That was a nail-biter!

Can't wait to see the biopsy report!

I always thought that hemangioma's were dangerous to remove because of bleeding issues. That said, I'm a bookkeeper and not a medical professional.

Well done! I hope the biopsy report is clear.

But superficial ones? Nah. I do it all the time. Today's was just the largest ever. And I don't have confirmation yet that that's what it was. We'll see...

I guess it is because I wanted to be a nurse when I was younger and I just appreciate the skill required.

I am glad it all went well! Thanks for this report!

otherwise, #DrPimplePopper would not have huge YouTube following and a cable TV show.

I remember sitting in the gallery and watching the surgery. It was fascinating, really.

A most incredible day. I am in awe of the stamina of such heroes.
