Had lunch in Hotel St Hubert - Sainte Saturnin-les-Apt in the Luberon yesterday.

We just stumbled across the place. Turns out that it was featured in Floyd on France in 1987.

The restaurant has changed chefs since then, but the new chef is amazing.

Looked at the website and they have this video up.

Great for getting a feel for Provence - And amazingly, though much has changed, much has remained the same.

My pleasure. Today is the first day of autumn and we actually had rain in Provence. GoneOffShore Sep 2020 #2
Nice memories of rain as well, it's been almost a year saidsimplesimon Sep 2020 #3
Been to the town but not the rest. My GPS kept calling it 'Saint Saturnine lez apartment.' CurtEastPoint Sep 2020 #4
That's funny - Before lunch we went to Colorado Provencal just down the road GoneOffShore Sep 2020 #5
Have you also been to Roussillon? Beautiful hills like that. CurtEastPoint Sep 2020 #7
Oh, yes. Lovely village and hills. A bit tamer for tourists. GoneOffShore Sep 2020 #8

When that happens everyone walks around going: 'What did I do? It's raining!'

I have to get another account so I can post pictures. Photobucket is such a hassle.

Though you can see some of my recent photos of France here https://www.instagram.com/samgish3/

A really cheap twin lens reflex that used 120 film. 2 1/4 square in black and white. Taught me a lot about composition and how to 'make pictures', though I didn't really know what that term meant until perhaps fiftenn years ago when I started working as assistant to a 'professional photographer'.

I've been following Peter Turnley on Facebook, who's just amazing and an inspiration. He studied with Robert Doisneau.
