Thought for Today...About my my mind,...Have I lost my mind???

Thought # 1,....Yes there will be more...Don't know how many more...

Did you ever think like you lost your mind, somewhere out there?...When you put the facts together, you realize that you really haven't lost your mind, your mind may work slower than before, but it still works and that is good. I start thinking about my mind and my thinking, and then I compare my thinking with other people's thinking and I see the clarity and sensitivity in that brain/mind that reminds me that my mind may be a bit older [just a bit, pleae] ...but it works a whole lot better than the President of the United States. Now, I never thought that I would say anything like that, but honesty is honesty. And when one think about my brain/mind, that for some reason (I am not sure why?) it likes to be honest with other people. I guess I learned that one pretty young so it is ingrained in there pretty far in. ....................................

Sooooo....yes it is still working, and it isn't lost, and that is really a gift..If you got this far, I thank you for reading this. Well, it ain't the Gettysburg Address, but it is long enough to ........Oh, Stuart that is enough for today.........

Of course I read your OP.

I usually do when my mind isn't hiding in some computer version of solitaire.

Nice to see you, Stuart.

what I like about the computer version of solitaire is that the computer shuffles the cards for you and
puts them out there. I don't have to put out my own cards and arrange them. Now when I lose, which
is often, (almost all the time) , the computer doesn't have to make a comment other than, "sorry you
lost" and then a brand new game starts again. And you know that saves a whole lot of time from one
game to another. The computer even keeps track of who many games I have won and lost...????
.............Stuart ............you are going on too long again......just say hi and good by..............

treatment here on DU. Yes, I'm no stranger to mania/psychosis and depression. When I was
psychotic I was a definite danger to myself and others. But I never killed anybody (let alone
over 200,000 of my fellow countrypersons) and I welcomed treatment (that was not always
pleasant) because I WANTED TO BE WELL! I found success and am 'doing much better now'*.

So don't worry about losing your mind. There are kind people willing to help you but the most
important help you can get comes from yourself! And Stu, don't talk about yourself in the 3d
person to your mental health treatment team, they may decide to keep you for another month!
