(16,902 posts)5. I have rescued two congenitally deaf puppies in my life.
And they were/are both the best pets anyone could wish for. One lived to 15 and the other is 12 (my soul mate) and sleeping next to me as I type. They have filled my heart with joy and I am so grateful we all found each other. The deafness is a non-issue. I can't imagine my life without my girls.
