These Comedies Are Way Better Than Their Rotten Tomatoes Scores

https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/best-comedy-movies-with-bad-rotten-tomatoes-scores

Perhaps more than any other genre, comedy is hard to evaluate. What's funny to one person is maybe not so to another, and it can be difficult to describe what it is that makes a joke hilarious. That's why so many genuinely great comedy films often don't get the appreciation they deserve upon release. From sweet rom-coms like One Fine Day to stone-cold masterpieces like Step Brothers, these movies were received tepidly when they came out, but are now beloved. So the next time you're looking for something to make you laugh, smile, or even cringe, take a gander at these once under-appreciated selections.

As the mother of 80s and 90s kids, who are totally irreverent (along with their Mom), we will sometimes insert movie dialogue into our everyday conversation. Drop Dead Gorgeous has a deep well from which to draw. Case in point: Allison Janney to the candystriper peddling her wares in the hospital -- "Do you think a nice cool mint would help if I shoved your head up your ass?" Allison Janney as Loretta was the STAR of that movie -- hands down.

I don't think that I've ever seen the others, but thanks for the suggestions!

I think "The Hot Rock" (1972, Robert Redford) was extremely funny, but it only gets 64% at RT. It single-handedly turned me onto the Donald Westlake "Dortmunder" stories years ago, for which I was also grateful!
