So my kid has strep... and covid

Last edited Sat Oct 31, 2020, 03:42 PM - Edit history (1)

Two of his friends were diagnosed with covid not long ago. He’d had a “few minutes” of contact with them before they were diagnosed. One has recovered (I’m guessing the other one has too otherwise I would’ve heard about it).

So no shock. It’s also raging through his state, although his university has kept it pretty well under control.

He’s ok. I’m ok.

Just a worried mama.

... it was something we often carried around in us until it took off for some reason.

But the really GOOD thing about strep is that it's TREATABLE. I was always glad when I or my kids got that diagnosis. Penicillin and it's gone in a day or two.

Ooops! Just noticed your first line. But unless your kid is 40 years old, I still think you don't need to worry. And maybe when you say lots of people have it you mean the COVID not the strep??

My granddaughter had a mild case last month. Recovered quickly. This week, she passed out at home and was taken in ambulance to the hospital. They're testing now to find out the cause. Could be Covid related. We're worried. This things is diabolical.
