(33,517 posts)...people whose respect for science and engineering with respect to addressing climate change is extremely poor. We have these kinds of people here regrettably.
They end up repeating themselves in a purely ideological fashion in such a way as to it becoming a waste of time to engage them.
The reality is that anything we think we're doing about climate change is clearly failing, and repeating the same experiment over again and expecting a different result has become a cliche for describing insanity.
I used to engage them, which was silly on my part, since they only gave me agita, but the ignore button has been a magnificent tool which I very much appreciate.
My list has probably 20 or so people on it, accumulated over the last 18 years.

(2,808 posts)While I'm certainly no scholar I also can see the writing on the wall when it comes to climate change. I'm extremely distressed as well about what is happening.
