Yard Sale season.

Don’t usually participate but am this year. The drivers scare the ever-loving crap outta me!!

Esp in a neighborhood. No one looks any direction on the road. Backing up around street corners. Stop signs meaningless.

It’s 26 degrees here. Yard Sale season in NE Ohio was over months ago!

I usually like to browse at yard sales, but stopped at only one this year. Saw lots of idiots milling around without masks, so I hopped right back into my car and drove off!

Thirty years ago, the cost of new products were high and you could find good value in quality used items.

Thirty years of cheap imports has driven down the cost of new products. Meanwhile, the stuff for sale is often just used cheap imported crap from 5 years ago.

It is a commentary on our consumer driven culture dominated by imports but I just don't feel the charm anymore.

And I hosted my last garage sale 20 years ago when I got accosted by early arrivers while we were setting up. Just unpleasant. There are better ways to spend a Saturday and the money wasn't worth it. I find it better to donate to charity, take the tax benefit and enjoy my weekends.

very hard to sell anything. Just go on the last day and last hour and they may pay you to take the crap away.
