You are never too old to learn

Maybe I should have titled this "Don't be stupid"

We’ve all heard the expression “You are never too old to learn”.
I’m 74 and I learned a valuable lesson today.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT watch TV,
while surfing the internet on your laptop,
while eating chips from an open bag.

I reached for the bag without looking (‘cause I knew it was right there on the table next to my chair)
while my eyes were sort of on the TV and on my laptop screen.

I mistakenly grabbed the bag by the bottom (instead of the open top) and dumped chips, fragments, and chip dust on my lap and carpet

Fortunately (hopefully) only some chip ‘dust’ got on my keyboard.
I need to buy a can of ‘air’ to blow it out.

Oh well, I wanted to vacuum anyway.

1. What a mess!

I have been transplanting some of my indoor plants today. I was carrying a hanging basket into the bedroom when one of the little chains came off. Dirt and plant exploded everywhere. Much vacuuming and cussing involved.

3. I've discovered that, at the age of 74, we don't NEED beer.

We can absent-mindedly screw things up naturally.
