I hike/hang out up in the trees or out in the desert, in several places I can usually expect to not see anyone else. When leaving a note or telling my wife I'll just say "I went/am going to church" and she knows about where I can be found: The Church of the Trees or The Church of the Sage.
Alone time does wonders for recharging the batteries.

I had the great fortune of visiting when I was working "on the road" the Redwoods State Park is at the top... walking through the forests was always magical and wonderful!!
