It was an outstanding performance. I've never heard an explanation about what happened to that guitar.

I was about 20 feet away at a Who gig back in the day. Saw Pete Townshend absolutely destroy a Gibson SG. A couple of the tuning keys flew fight past my head.

Both Tom Petty and Prince. Both had chronic pain issues from prior injuries and both died from their pain meds. It's a horrible waste.

performance at the Super Bowl in 2007. Someone is there to catch his guitar at about the 3:20 mark, I believe it might be a Prince roadie and not a fan in the audience that caught it.
Fun fact: Prince was a humanitarian and privately donated to Trayvon Martin's family after Trayvon was murdered. Prince also helped launch the YesWeCode initiative, a nonprofit organization in Oakland to get more young minorities involved in technology.
