But I just learned (or it just clicked) that the race of squid-looking aliens... theyre literally called Mon Calamari. And I cant decide if thats super groan worthy, awesome, or both 🙂

But it was in the novelization of the film. I knew early on what they were called.
The Mon Calamari were among the first species to join the Rebel Alliance. And although humans were considered the heart of the Rebellion, the Mon Calamari were considered the soul.
