Those 'click the boxes that have xxxx' are the worst. Sometimes, a thin sliver of a traffic light or crosswalk is just inside an adjacent box, waiting to be overlooked.

I so relate. I type all my passwords incorrectly almost all of the time, especially at work when there are patients in front of me waiting to be helped.

That they had offered a year or two ago. I might have the answer written down somewhere that is still in storage, but I KNOW I did not make a note of the security question. They didn't even offer choices, just asked me to type in the question. I have my ID and password, but not the damned security question.

I had to call into technical support and got the run around about why they do this but they did finally send me a code so I can get in. The next time I need to get into that web site, I am positive I will have the same problem. So they will have to pay for the time of a technician to help me regain access to a site that has made it unnecessarily difficult to get into their site.

11. That wasn't the problem

They wanted me to tell them which security question I had selected from a list and given an answer to. The did not show me the list again, just wanted me to remember the question and the answer with no clues.

I have a system I generally use for the standard questions such as "What was the name of your first pet?" "What is your mother in laws name?" "Where did your parents meet?" I have non-true answers that correspond to those questions.

That site did not use the standard questions and, again, they gave no clue as to what question I might have used. Since I first signed into that site, I've had back surgery, gone on a long trip to the UK, and did an addition to my house. Everything, including my list of passwords and security answers is slowly being taken out of storage. At my age, remembering crap like that is impossible so I have a list. But when the sites change the rules (what was the security question you selected from a list we showed you once and won't show you again?) that makes it ridiculously difficult.

12. I see. Two things...

First, I would answer, "This isn't much of cheese shop, is it?" Regardless of that not being one of their questions.
Second, I'd find a different site to do business with.

15. I've been trying to remember which site it was

Not really a place I have a choice to do business or not - something like my Medicare supplemental plan. I'll just hassle their techs whenever I need to get in.

First name, middle name, doesn't matter. My answer is always a word not a name. I remember this well since I have no siblings.

This is why I have a file on my computer labelled "Passwords". Security people have heart palpitations when I say that, but honestly, how else can I possibly keep track of all of the passwords I have? Especially when I'm not supposed to use the same password more than once. Yeah. Or different sites have different requirements as to capital letters, numbers, special characters.

I will say that I am fond of using the middle name of one of my siblings or my mother and the year they were born, with one of those letters or numbers swapped out for a special character. The only reason I don't use my dad's middle name is that his is a three letter one, darn. No matter how well you know me, the odds of your knowing my siblings' middle names is vanishingly small.

or so I have been lead to believe by someone telling me that or something I read. I can,t remember exactly there I heard/read it. The capabilities of autonomous vehicles need to be taught.
I am surprised though they aren't training the AI to recognize humans in the street. Or bicyclists. or animals.
And why don't they ask to click all the traffic lights that are red or green???
