I seriously doubt ANYBODY actually does what's pictured in these ads. IRL If you were going to do something like this you'd give them something that indicates that you want to take them to a dealership so they can pick out their new car. But that doesn't translate that well to a car ad

And my nominee for my petty peeve was going to be a downer wailing of "I'll Be Home for Xmas ... if only in my dreams." Had heard it in my usual background before finally looking up at the end to see who the danged sponsor was, and it turned out to be the USPS.
In no way is this a hostile-to-USPS thing, just that cloying song and its execution.
***That said, the blue truck one has seemed almost cute to me, but apparently that's just me.
