Blue Bloods Makes Finnerty's 18 a Must Buy

"Fans of the hit television show Blue Bloods may be searching online for the Finnertys scotch. After all, they make it look so delicious and perfect for the show. However, there is no such scotch whiskey in the world.
Like most of the alcohol in the show, as well as the rest of Hollywood, Finnertys is a fictitious scotch. In addition to making up names, the show is notorious for obscuring the labels and making bottles have the design of an infamous brand, but without flashing the real name.
Hollywood has become so popular at creating a list of fictitious beverages, that there are several lists online. While Finnertys 18 scotch has not hit the list, it will soon with more interest sparked online and people frantically trying to find a Finnertys whiskey for their house."

I can see Johnny Walker getting ticked advertising on that show only to have the clan chug down on Finnerty's 18.

(32,354 posts)I'm partial to Glenmorangie's "Lasanta" (sherry cask finish, maroon label). But the entire brand is first-rate.

Trying to figure out how to take it up a notch for a bottle for my favorite man.

(32,354 posts)If you're looking for an upgrade from Woodford Reserve, my son-in-law's fancy preference is Blanton's ($99.00); his regular hooch is Noah's Mill ($60.00). Lots and lots of boutique bourbons have appeared in the last few years, plenty of good ones to choose from.

And yeah, they should be drinking Irish!

Discovering the True Essence of Finnertys
While Finnertys 18 Scotch may not be a real whiskey, fans of the show need not despair. The experts suggest that if you want to experience a similar taste profile, you should consider trying Lagavulin 16-year-old single malt scotch. With its smoky and rich flavors, this exceptional whiskey captures the essence that Finnertys Scotch aimed to portray on the screen.
Why the Choice of Finnertys Scotch Matters
Now, you might be wondering, why does the choice of Finnertys Scotch even matter in the first place? Its all about adding depth and realism to the characters. Just like the intricate details of their lives, their choice of whisky speaks volumes about their personalities and preferences. Its a way for the shows creators to humanize the characters, making them relatable and genuine in the eyes of the viewers.
Irish Whiskey and Blue Bloods
Although Blue Bloods is predominantly set in New York City, there is a connection to Irish heritage that runs deep within the Reagan family, the series main protagonists. This connection is reinforced by their choice of whiskey. While Finnertys Scotch may not be of Irish origin, its inclusion aligns with the overarching theme of the show, paying tribute to the Reagan familys heritage.
