Family PJs

If anyone had told me just three years ago that my youngest son would pose for a Christmas photo in pajamas that matched his wife's and two-year-old daughter's, I never would have believed them.

He always said he was never going to have children, but he sure is over the moon about that little girl. So am I.

Back when he and my daughter-in-law were dating, they had a major falling out because she wanted kids and he didn't. They ultimately broke up over it, and were apart for about a year. I was so sad about the breakup, and ecstatic when they got back together. Both of my daughters-in-law are just absolutely perfect. My sons are very lucky.

A bit of beauty and joy amidst all the ugliness of our current situation.

He gave me permission. Another son would be weird about it if I posted photos of his kids.

The thing about little kids is that they change so quickly that in a month they look a lot different. I was just looking at FB and marveling about how much my granddaughter has changed in a short time.

I think we'll be out of this nightmare sooner than we think.

I'm hoping, anyway.
