The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI think I just lost 1/2 hour.
I was just in my bedroom folding clothes and I glance at the time at it said 8:41. Then I took a shower about 10 minutes long and total time in bath room about 15 minutes. I came back in my office to look at some more news while I brushed my teeth and again glance at the time, now it says 9:41.
I just can't believe that I lost that time.
What the fuck!

(82,333 posts)Ain't that the truth? Church services are ALWAYS much longer than the official timer says. I guess churches just can't afford good stopwatches.

(55,506 posts)age seems to cause some kind of time warp during "getting up/ready to go out" - it used to be one fluid motion from getting out of bed, shower, dressed and out the door - 5, maybe 10 minutes right?
now it takes 10 minutes just to get your underwear on, the shower takes 30, the rest all adds up to at least an hour.

(18,705 posts)I thought it was Friday but it was Saturday.
I went to the Post Office and thought why is the desk closed.
I checked my cellphone and to my surprise it was Saturday.
Stress can do that do you.
