I don't think it's a choke chain.
I just looked at several pictures of the dog on the internet, and he definitely wears a regular dog collar with a metal "D" clip attached to it. A chain would be attached to the "D" clip...not a choke collar.

A choke chain should never be on a dog unless during training and then and always when supervised and then. My dog was almost choked to death when another dog came up to play his teeth got tangled on the chain luckily a fellow nearby had a bolt cutter. Choke collars are strongly not recommended now. Maybe might be needed for police dog restraint but could also mean dog not trained properly.

20. As I said, it's not a choke chain, it's a chain. There is a difference.

A choke chain is a loop that tightens as it is pulled tighter. A chain attached to a collar does not get tighter when it is pulled. The collar is fixed in it's diameter, and the chain is attached to the collar to hold the dog, and nothing more.
Look on the internet at the many pictures of Major. This is NOT a choke chain.
