(96,618 posts)What I would find sad is if the Square was packed with people. What better way to send out this past year with respect to the 345K that died and the front line men and women that were there to do their best to save them.

I agree - respect - and perhaps a wave of common sense and maybe even some respect for SCIENCE!!!!
GOD BLESS our health care workers - they have made a new year possible for so many.

My niece is an ICU nurse and a front liner. I don't know if I could handle half of what she has.

I admire their collective respect and cooperation for their fellow citizens, first responders and healthcare workers. Well done, New Yorkers!
