He gave a nice tribute at the beginning of the show.

Stepping up to the lectern as our first guest host, Ken takes a moment to honor Alex.

2. He was sort of choking up

3. I thought he was trying to find some rhythm early

and then seemed to forget what he was doing and became himself, ending in a blaze. He started to feel at home.

I suspect in about two weeks he will feel quite at home.

That's some big shoes he's stepping into.

Edit to add - when they had some very early Alex Trebek Jeopardies on a month or so back, Alex seemed like he was in a race with some time clock.

6. As a forever Jeopardy fan, I think it is a great "peaceful transition".

The fact that Alex meant so much to him and his reverence and enthusiasm for the game is what will carry forth. Plus, I really enjoy the juxtaposition from Alex's deep voice and suave demeanor to Ken's infectious nerdiness is charming.
