Typing Mistakes, Spelling Errors, Paragraph Formation, Capitalization, and Punctuation Mistakes too...
You name it, I make mistakes on the posts.....What should I do.............????????????
...When I was a young lad of 5 or I learned to write with a pencil. I also made lots and lots of mistakes,
but with the pencil, there was an instant solution not far away from my friend....the pencil, the eraser.
Eraser my friend was usually attached to the pencil and was not lost. For me, it was right there,
and the eraser became a better friend than the pencil ...I used it often and it was easy to use.....

Now...I have been upgraded to a computer. Often I still make mistakes,,,but it is harder to correct..Why
harder??...I have to look at the keyboard for the ...Backspace Key...
That key is...on the computer keyboard, but I have not memorized the place like I have the other keys..
Sometimes, I have to look for that one, and get it mixed up with the ..Enter Key or the
"Cap Lock"... Key or the Plus Key ++++...see I did it again...
I guess that life is still a challenge, and I should never give up. Why not give up??..I have read that
I am not the only one who makes.......MISTAKES.......?.....is that correct?..... ....
I read somewhere that the last person who was president...was a total mistake, and also, I read
that many out there miss our friend the ....eraser....when we write with...a pen...........
...Do people still do that ???....Do pens have erasers NOW..???? Oh NO!!!...Time to hide again..
Well..I tried again. .It isn't a sin to try again, but I should go back to wave a flag with an old rag..
It was an .....ATTEMPT AT HUMOR........oh well....isn't that swell, and I will ring a bell...

(10,197 posts)on the thread title line. I can't seem to get to the end of the line and backspace when its gotten too many characters. I can only edit the text that is visible. Sometimes I'll delete a few words in the middle of the sentence to bring the end into view, then i can edit that part and go back and refill the words I'd deleted. But sometimes it just seems like more work than its worth and I'll just leave my mistake in place.

(14,491 posts)A boy that went through engineering school in the late 60s who took mechanical drafting (still have all the tools) and a field service man in the 90s who was forced to learn WordPerfect to write job reports (actually glad I did), then later learn MS Word.
I still carry Pentel 0.7mm lead pencils and for the tough jobs, the white stick erasers that don't smear and even after retirement, write most of my notes in pocket Daytimers. It's just what I'm comfortable with and the notes help keep me from forgetting my shit at 73 Y.O. It's harder to write things out like we were taught because of my old worn-out hands.
Sometimes I want to take a hammer to my keyboard 'cause I unconsciously reverse letters in a lot of words and have to back-track and fix the ones with red lines under them.

Thanks for sharing! It's nice to see more 'normal' stuff back on DU......
