The family is the Bloom family dealing with the mother who through an accident becomes paralyzed, but important to the story is that one of the sons rescues a magpie who he names Penguin and who becomes very close with all the family members and helps the mother recover emotionally from her accident. It stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes of the walking Dead) and Naomi Watts.

It’s based on a true story. The end of the movie shows photographs of the Bloom family, including Penguin.
