last nite during a game, I had to go look up some of his best moments....I LOVE THIS MAN.

He is a national treasure.

1. We're Definitely in the "Love Him" School,

Especially now that we don't have favorite teams who have to compete against him, but there are others in our circle who can't stand even the current announcer-buffoon.

2. I lived in Portland during his heyday with the Trailblazers

including the year they won the national championship. He was just launching his ‘lovable weirdo’ persona, and despite not being much of a sports guy, I became a fan of Bill Walton.

3. Just had to go read up on him. The mind gets fuzzy. I remember him well from UCLA, but kind of

lost him during pro years.
