The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI guess I have an eclectic approach to watching tv. I'll watch reruns I enjoy. For a long time
I watched reruns of The Johnny Cash show from the early 1970s but now they're not on the
schedule. Oh well.
One of the shows I watch or have on every Sunday is The Love Boat. Go figure. But tonight
they had Andy Warhol as a guest star, playing himself. Wow. For years I read about him and
saw photos of him but here he was being himself. That's a pretty good reward for my habits,
at least in this regard.

(2,343 posts)Especially love ones with comedians like Hope, Hackett, Rickles, Dean Martin, Foster Brooks, etc al. They all seemed to have such a good time on the show and were funnier than hell. Very few on today's late night shows can come close...very few.
And none of the hosts today are funny consistently like Carson was. But, hopefully with Trump out of office, they'll not be compelled to take serious tones when it comes to Washington politics. I need to laugh during late night, not get pissed.
