(23,975 posts)...often enough, and IIRC, in the uncropped version there was a certain anatomical indication that she was cold.

(9,888 posts)and that poster was in every guy's room and there was at least one copy hanging somewhere in every apartment of men. As a straight female I never really "got it," I preferred my Earthrise poster.

(3,396 posts)Boy oh boy, I am so mad at Farrah Fawcett-Majors. She is so conceited. She has never called me once. And after the hours Ive spent holding up her poster with one hand!
That was considered a pretty racy joke back in the seventies.

(5,914 posts)That bathing suit was something she had in her closet, and that Navajo blanket was something that she and Lee Majors just had lying around the house. Apparently, it was just a quick publicity shoot, and no one had any idea it would take off like it did.

(2,203 posts)that was a Navajo blanket in the background. Always thought it was some kind of metal side of a bus or car or something. I guess I didn't look at it long enough.

(31,516 posts)She was in her 70's at the time and when we questioned her about it she said she just thought it was a pretty picture. She hung it in the hallway of her apartment.

(9,291 posts)I would look at Farrah or Rachel Welsh, and I would wonder how I could ever measure up.
Now, I watch RuPaul, and again I wonder. How does she do any of that?

(9,067 posts)She was my idol and reminded me of my Aunt who had the same hairdo, was just as beautiful and lived in California.
I also had an Elvis poster and a David Lee Roth poster. I tore the David Lee Roth poster up in a fit of frustration because he was too hot and I couldn't have him. LOL.
I ended up finally getting rid of the Farah poster on a trip home a few years ago because it was torn where the thumbtacks went in and I had stickers down on a corner so it was worthless.
Still have the Elvis poster though. : )
