Ruined. Just Ruined

I'm not sure if I want sympathy, maybe just help dealing with my anger.

KCC was losing when I stopped watching the Super Bowl. I realized that watching a Trump supporter win the game offended something deep in me, and I just couldn't watch.

I only watch football about once a year (duh) and I don't know what it's like to see your team lose when you have a lot of money on the game, or are that invested in it. I'm sure it's crushing. I have always been a "It's just a game" person.

And then, I found out that Brady was a Trump Supporter.

All of a sudden, I understand all of those people who got upset with Colin Kaepernick and said they wouldn't watch football anymore. Knowing a player's politics, when they are so completely opposite of what you believe, just screws with your mind, and all of a sudden, it doesn't matter how good he is, you just want him to lose. And if someone "accidentally" broke his throwing arm, it wouldn't bother me.

I am in my room blaring music, blocking out the game in the other room.

OK, I've said enough. Back to giving Valentine hearts.

The deflated ball debacle was bad enough, but when I found out that Tom Brady was a rump admirer, I couldn't watch him anymore.

That has been a rumor since a MAGA hat was seen in the locker room...People say Brady supports Trump but Tom's wife says otherwise

Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen disputed the claim that her husband supported the Republican presidential candidate. The supermodel responded “NO!” to a comment on her Instagram page asking if she and her husband were supporting Donald Trump:

Now sit back and let Tom do his work..

New England boy here..and we love Tom!

And it's up in the air. Wife says no, but nothing from Brady himself.

I guess that's the way its supposed to be. If players get political, the idea of the game as a retreat from politics gets destroyed.

I just wish Brady had denied calling Trump and congratulating him as Trump said in a campaign speech. Leaving it out there... is the same as admitting it in my book.

Here are Trump's words. Yes, I know, he lies. A lot. But Brady has not refuted it.

T

wo people I have a lot of respect for. Really like as people. Credible people. And since there so important to the area. I thought I’d give you this information. They told me I could do it so I will do it. Tom Brady, great guy, great guy, great friend of mine, great great champion, unbelievable winner. He called today and he said Donald, I support you. You’re my friend and I voted for you. And I want to tell you this guy is a champ and he’s a winner and he’s a great person. So I said Tom, you voted for me, you support me, am I allowed to say it? And he said if you want to say it you can say it.

In all honesty I'm a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but the Steelers didn't make it very far in the playoffs this year. So I was hoping to see the Chiefs win this time. The truth is that Tom Brady (as a NE Patriot) has ruined the Steelers chances so many times that I could never root for him, whatever team he's on. You know, the guy's politics are irrelevant, I really wanted to see him lose. When does he retire anyway?

https://sports.yahoo.com/tom-brady-talks-donald-trump-with-howard-stern-political-support-is-totally-different-than-the-support-of-a-friend-151409890.html

I think it's clear from reading this that Brady is not a Trump supporter politically. He just does not go there in this interview with Stern.

And it's very clear from reading this that it's Trump who is pushing the relationship. It's obvious that Trump is just trying to get in with people who are talented and famous (things he never was). Both Stern and Brady were invited to speak at Trump's political convention, and both turned it down. Trump tried to get Brady to date Ivanka, but Brady says here that he never did. (Yet, Trump says something so outrageous as, "I could have had Tom Brady as my son-in-law." )

Brady does not commit to any political support of Trump. (Sure he had a MAGA hat in his locker, but again, Trump probably pushed it on him, to build himself up by association with Brady, not the other way around.)

Did you all see the tag on the back of Brady's helmet tonight: "End Racism" (See it pictured here):
