"Elephant Yindee is becoming a true young bull. Yet his mother and his nannies still treat him as a baby boy. Almost eight years old, his mother still allows him to take her nipple. A teenager wants to express his freedom, independent of the herd at Elephant Nature Park.
He wants to explore his area alone, without his small herd following him always. His nannies want to keep him close, but he does not agree with that. Whenever Yindee walks far from their eyesight, chaos begins, and his mother and nannies will trumpet for him very loud.
Sometimes he will answer back from far away to let them know that he is OK, but his message is often inadequate. The herd seeks assurance that their little boy is OK.
HERD manners are very amazing. Their natural management to look after the baby in the herd is unbelievably organized. The younger nanny who is stronger will respond as the disciplinarian. This one will look over and attempt to control and manage the baby's safety."
