"Hey human! Stop trying to steal my show!"

I have a hunch, though, that the kitty belongs to one of the models, likely the one it made a grab at. It is so poised and calm like it has experience watching the walk and knows how to join in. Then, "Hey mom. How am I doing?"

Had to look up that "flag symbol" and am guessing this took place in Turkey (that crescent and star on the red background is their flag).

Pretty much welcome everywhere. There's a YouTube video called Cats of Istanbul, but it's not only Istanbul.

About those outfits... no Turk would dress so unflattering, unless on behalf of the encroaching religiosity. When I lived there, you'd buy your gorgeous Damascus silk...so fine you could pull it on the bolt through a wedding ring...or whatever and take it to a seamstress for a copy of a Paris designer. There, you'd describe what you wanted and she'd fold the material in quarters, cut off the meeting corner, putting a hole in it, put your head through the hole so the fabric hung off your shoulders, back and front, then they'd use pins to construct the dress on your body. For my senior prom, I wore a brilliant turquoise silk brocade we'd bought in Damascus, empire style, supposedly a copy of a Balenciaga.
