Alaska woman attacked by bear while using toilet

A woman in Alaska says she "jumped up and screamed" after she was attacked by a bear while using the toilet.

Shannon Stevens sustained a puncture wound while using a remote outhouse toilet at Chilkat Lake last weekend.

After hearing her scream, Ms Stevens' brother went to see what had caused the injury, only to find a bear's head in the hole of the toilet.

"I got out there and sat down on the toilet and immediately something bit my butt as I sat down," she told the Associated Press news agency.

Bears like to be left along when relieving themselves.

Lady should have knocked first to make sure the bear wasn't already using the outhouse.

to spare some TP, and she replied that she couldn't spare a single square. The bear's response would be justifiable in that case.

One smelly bear...

One should always look before sitting down in an outhouse; snakes have also been known to crawl into those spaces.

down the toilet hole adjacent to where he was sitting.

He woke me up to go with him to the outhouse, and I witnessed these events.

So, guess how he got his flashlight back.

He's small and athletic. He tried hanging by his hands and attempted to grab it with is feet.

Didn't work. He had to go way down in there, but he got it back.
