Really. No mas.
Great for families where there has not been a divorce that has left some folks mad and non family partners not wanting to participate.
My kids' dad is on these calls but is so old he sleeps through them. His now wife is now bitter and was snarky at me. She is really angry that I have published a book and my ex was trying to take credit for it, even tho I have been married to my second husband for 35 years and he refuses to participate.
I think there should be an SNL skit about family zoom calls where there has been a divorce, but the grown kids are trying to be jolly.

I've done Zoom about a handful of times. The one and only general family Zoom was back on Thanksgiving. I thought it was great, but apparently the others aren't particularly interested in Zooming again. Sigh. We do text and email each other, and also make real phone calls, so it's not as though I'm totally deprived of their companionship.

(63,901 posts)My ex husband's now wife is pretty mad that I have written and published a book. My ex was feeling out of the loop and sought an intercession by our daughters. So, against my better judgment I sent him a copy of the book (unsigned and no note, tho). I should add that he also wanted to take some credit for it....our divorce, he said, enabled me to be creative and write). I was livid.
