My brother died of Covid last month. A day before his death, my first cousin died. They were both in their early 80's.
I went to the obituaries today...
Second cousin...age 53.
Guy I used to work out with...age 63.
Guy I went to high school with...age 63.
I'm 62.

I hope health returns to everyone very soon, and happiness quickly visits your doorstep.

(17,197 posts)The losses have been hard. Im sorry its affecting you. So many people - gone.
We must continue to be vigilant about masking, distancing, and hand washing. I live in Texas and the recent ice storm felt like it took the attention off of COViD. Ive had to remind myself that we are still in a pandemic and that we must continue to do the masking, etc. WITHOUT fail.
Sending hugs.

(22,874 posts)In the last year, especially, I lost a lot of people I've known since I was a teenager, and some I knew since they were babies. Relatives, friends, the people in the towns I've lived in, or organizations I served. Even without Covid-19 claiming lives, there would be a toll. I hope they all rest easy.
