Just one of the multitude of cheap toys in every truck stop, Stuckeys and Nickerson Farms back then.

haven't been there in a while. They were nowhere near as good as Howard Johnson's.

I'm afraid to ask why you wouldn't eat one now. There are many things, like deveined shrimp, that never bothered me until I found out what it meant.

Etch a Sketch, yes.
And that tablet with the plastic sheet you drew on with a stylus.

All the little boys I knew had those, but not us girls. And boy, did those things stink! (The cap guns, I mean, although come to think of it, some of those boys didn't smell too great, either.)

We would dress up in our mother's slinky clothes and play "Honey West" or femme fatales being pursued by Napolean Solo or Illya Kuryakin from U.N.C.L.E. I distinctly remember having a little Saturday Night Special cap gun and sticking it in a garter under my satin pencil skit, LOL. So much fun. I think I was about six or seven.

and just sent the grandkids some along with the magic slate with stylus. They were so excited. The 3 yr. old love the wooly willy type one I sent to him. Daughter-in-law appreciated having him entertain himself for quite awhile. The magic slate the kids said, was for use in the car. I was thinking of sending them jacks, but I want to stay on DIL's good side! lol

We may not have been the brightest kids in the world, but nobody ever got hit with one of those things. But I can understand the company pulling them off the market when that started happening.
