purported to be a very good cook. Seems to be a nice guy.. Big dinners for friends before the lock down. People loved his food.. I never knew that!

I took a cooking class in Bologna and was surprised to discover (as Tucci did) that traditional Bolognese sauce has no tomatoes or garlic in it, but lots of butter and carrots. It's a completely different flavor than American-Italian style "Bolognese", made by immigrants from southern Italy.
