The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsPer Oprah on CBS Morning just now, Harry told her
that it was not the Queen or his grandfather who raised the skin tone issue.
Both Harry and Meghan refused to identify who it was and that it would be very damaging if the person was identified.
While it would be damaging if it were Charles, he has had so many scandals I don't think that it would reach extremely damaging for him.
Now if it were William or Kate it absolutely would be very damaging because they are viewed as the future of the monarchy and Kate is not viewed very favorable. I would hope that with Kate's love for children it would not be her. But William has become such a stick in the mud I could see him saying it.
The fact that this has now become a big guessing game will not cause this issue to go away.

He clearly still adores the queen. But it's just as clear things aren't good between him and his father and brother.

(5,414 posts)as really being a shrinking violet. He never takes a stand. I think Harry is impressive in his objectivity with all that has gone on. He isn't even talking to his likely best friend, his brother.

(21,119 posts)"Charles always wanted a girl," she said. "Harry was a boy. His first comment was, 'Oh God, it's a boy.' His second: 'And he's even got red hair.'"
"Harry's red hair led many to believe that his biological father was actually James Hewitt, an English Army captain who was hired to teach Diana, William, and Harry horseback riding. While Diana and James did carry on an affair in the late '80s, they didn't meet until two years after Harry's birth."
