Every time I come upon that now-famous joke time travel ad,

I wonder who the guy in the photo is.

This morning I happened onto the ABC show Wipeout, and right away I recognized the host, comedian John Henson, as the time travel ad guy. He sure looks like him to me, anyway - same hairline, same length and width of forehead and maybe the same eyebrows. I tried to find an unsmiling photo of John Henson, but I couldn't. I guess he's just an all-around happy guy.

What do you all think? Is John Henson time travel ad guy?

Here’s a confession from the guy who wrote the ad, as a joke to fill space in a magazine’s classified ad section.

He actually mentions DU, which is really cool. Not only did the ad end up on t-shirts and in video games, it led to a movie called “Safety Not Guaranteed.” All because he needed to fill space and couldn’t think of a good joke.
