He came out of the wooded area behind my house. Just showed up one evening. Came and went every day for week before I could get him in a carrier and to the vet. He had been chipped and was dumped after being adopted from a shelter by some cruel woman who decided she didn’t want him after all and turned him out.

I renamed him Scavenger because he had been fending for himself for over three months during the hot summer months and thunderstorm season. (He hated thunder and would cling to me during a storm.)

He turned out to be the most loving kitty and my own personal animal soulmate. He was with me for five years before out of the blue he suffered a heart attack and seizure and passed within a single minute. It happened so fast. That was two years ago and I still miss him desperately. I spoiled him rotten for the time I got to “serve” his “majesty.”

I’ll always believe that he adopted me rather than the other way around. I was in a bad place and severely depressed. He brought me out of that funk. I will be forever grateful to him.
