Anyone know what happened to newyawker99 who greeted every new DUer for many years.

3. No. I fondly remember her, however.

She abandoned DU some years ago, and she told us that she wanted to focus her energy elsewhere. She was truly beloved in this community.

But I never knew what actually became of her. I feared terminal illness, but I dared not ask.

If anyone does know, please share.

Sadly, one member, madmax posts in #191 that she can confirm that newyawker99 had, indeed died after some serious health issues.

I remember her well. She made DU special, especially in those early years.
