(28,493 posts)4. My cat doesn't need any buttons.
She's very good at racing around and looking at the place I normally put her treats in, and it usually works.

(34,189 posts)6. My cat knows I keep her treat under the cabinet next to the desk
She sits on the desk and tries to guide my hand to the treats - gently at first, then more and more insistently, sometimes with her claws slightly out. I've got little nicks all over the arm on that side.
I keep her treats in the room with my computer since the male cat has begun to pick on her and I'm concerned about her losing weight. She was only 7.5 pounds when we adopted her and had dropped to 7.2 three months later. She's full grown but she does not need to lose any more weight with two 12 pound cats in the house, one of whom likes to chase and hassle her.
