I was having a Zoom class with a grand nephew and told him he should have written want to and not wanna. He was adamant that it was a real word. He was correct. It's nice when they beat us - he was sooooooooooooooo happy. Damn I'm old.
Language does evolve.

(28,485 posts)"prolly" for "probably", as in that's what his characters say in dialogue. Makes me utterly crazy, and I've told him he absolutely overuses that nonstandard word. Plus, it's the only nonstandard word any of his characters say.
