They suck, too. Surprisingly, this is actually a popular lake for boating and fishing, but the original Ojibwe name was Ozagaskwaajimekaag-zaaga’igan, which translates to "lake abundant with bloodsuckers."

The beach at Mosquito Lake State Park in Cortland has been placed under a contamination advisory by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The most recent sample results, taken on Wednesday, showed E. coli levels of 940 cfu (colony forming units) per 100 milliliters of water.

Wednesday's samples were four times higher than the Ohio Water Quality Standard's maximum acceptable public beach E. coli levels.

But naming it after Dump is just plain embarrassing and disgraceful

It’s a 20 minute drive north of my house.

BTW I have posted pics of my walks along the lake here a few times. It’s a very nice park. Boat launches, marina, walking trails, and a dog park.... oh well I guess my area is going to be a national laughingstock now.

Sigh ....

The developers often didn't care what the streets were named, so the drafters made their own suggestions -- and now some of our friends and family have streets around town bearing their names. One developer didn't even care what the subdivision was named, so when they drew up a mock prospectus they inked in the name "Chigger Ridge". After that, the developer took more of an interest in providing his own names.

and then one day the signs went up. (Beware of Alligators)

Same with a pond nearby. No gators for years and years and then we had a very dry winter which made for dry beds, so the gators went looking for new homes.

Usually rains here in the winter, almost daily. Keeps the water levels up.

The only thing that should be named after Trump is a Superfund Site.

Just tell him it will be called the Trump Super Fund Site and he will think it is a compliment about his fund raising skills. Trump would never ever guess it was mass contamination/pollution/dump site.
